Cregmore National School supports St Vincent de Paul

For the 20th consecutive year, Cregmore National School hosted a coffee morning, cake sale and monster raffle, with all proceeds donated to St. Vincent de Paul. The event, coordinated by the pupils of 6th class, under the guidance of their teachers Ms McCormack and Mr Madden, proved to be a huge success with a large number of parents, grandparents, past pupils and friends popping into the school hall to feast on some wonderful baking and enjoy the entertainment of both the school choir and the school trad group.

Students from 4th class at Cregmore national school recently visited the research vessel RV Celtic Explorer as part of their marine-science and art project building up to SeaFest, Ireland’s national maritime festival. The project places art, marine science and technology in the heart of the classroom where the students have been learning about marine life and activity under the sea for the past six months. It involves TULCA in partnership with Marine Institute Explorers Education Programme, artist Louise Manifold, marine scientist Dr. Andy Wheeler, and Cregmore National School.

O’Donnellan & Joyce, the largest auction house outside of Dublin, has launched the sixth in its series of Wild Atlantic Way property auctions for 2016, scheduled to be held on Friday November 11 at the Harbour Hotel, New Dock Road, Galway, where more than 40 properties will go under the auction hammer. More than 200 properties have already been sold by O’Donnellan & Joyce so far this year and the company enjoys one of the highest success rates of any auction house in Ireland.
